Ingredients

  • Basmati Pilaf
  • Basmati Rice 300 gm
  • Cardamom green 2 gm
  • cloves 2 gm
  • cinnamon 2 gm
  • Bay leaf 1 frunze
  • Salt to taste
  • vegetable oil 15 gm
  • H20 as needed
  • saffron 1 gm
  • Cashew 30 gm
  • Raisins 30 gm

Instructions

for Rice

  1. wash Basmati rice and soak for 15 mins
  2. In a stock pot , add oil and spices till fragrant
  3. add rice and double the quantity of boiling water ,, salt , simmer covered for 10 mins
  4. add soaked saffron over the Rice , and Toasted Cashew and raisins
  5. shut off heat and keep covered for another 10 mins
  6. serve both hot
