Ingredients
- Fish fillet boneless ( Trout/ cod etc) 400 gm
- lemon juice 30 gm
- Salt gm to taste
- chilli powder 2 gm
- turmeric 3 gm
- flour for dusting as needed
- Chick pea flour ( faina de naut) 100 gm
- Cornstarch 30 gm
- turmeric 5 gm
- cummin seeds ( toasted) or ajwain 3 ml
- Red onion chopped 15
- soda bicarbonate 2 gm
- Salt to taste
- chilli powder to taste
- veg oil 15 ml
- sparkling water as needed
- Oil for frying as needed
- lemon as needed
Instructions
method
- use a firm fish fillet , season fillet with lemon juice, salt , chilli and turmeric
- mix all the dry ingredients except water and oil ,
- add water and mix well , to a thick batter , lastly add oil
- dust fish in flour and then batter and fry inhot oil
- cook till fish is cooked and crisp , depends on thickness of fillet
- serve with lemon
- serve hot as shown
